Well if you haven't heard yet...Mike and I are expecting our first baby on July 21st! This is how we told our parents at Christmas. Mike made labels for the spaghati sauce I canned this fall! I says "Mike and Kim are Prego, due July 21" We heard the heart beat today at 12 weeks. We're so excited!
A little late, I know. Here are a few of the things I made for dinner when we had a few friends over in October, I decided to go with a Halloween theme. Everything turned out really good! We had witches, ghosts, a pumpkin cheese ball, leg bones, spiderweb dip and goulish fingers! Yum!
Since I've been such a slacker with updating our blog...here's a little bit of our summer. Mike had his Nascar experience, which he LOVED and is STILL talking about. We did a lot of canning with fresh vegies from our garden. We did spagetti sauce, pickles, salsa, tomatoes, pickled yellow peppers and jalapenos! And in September went to Traverse City and Mackinac Island for our anniversary. We definately kept busy this summer, hence the lack of postings! I'll try to do better!
As part of Mike's birthday surprise I got tickets to the Nascar Race 2 weeks ago at MIS. Mike didn't know where we were going, or even that we were going anywhere that weekend until we got it the car. He was SLIGHTLY upset that he didn't know what was going on, but got over that pretty quickly when he found out where we were going!! Saturday we went to the Truck Race and then Sunday we went to the Nascar race. Both were SOOO loud, i was glad I had ear plugs! We had a lot of fun, Mike LOVED it! He seems to think that I've started a great tradition! Just a few more weeks until he gets to drive a car as part of his Nascar experience I got for his birthday, he's even more excited now after he saw the race!!
Well we FINALLY found 2 of the baby kittens!! I'm pretty sure there's more yet. They're 5 weeks old, These 2 are pure white, except they have tan ears and tan and white striped tails, and big blue eyes. I named them Baily and Leo. As you can see Leo's missing a foot. I'm not sure what happened, if he was born that way or if there was an injury! I'll admit they're not the CUTEST kittens I've ever seen, but they're still cute because they're little furballs! I was hoping for some more color on them, but oh well!
Week #1 of our Garden! We've moved it and made it bigger and better! We still need to finish the rest of the fence around it, but I've got my snap peas planted (a little late) and can't wait to get the rest of it started!
